Call for participants for cyber security training for Arab journalists
Doha Centre for Media Freedom (DCMF) invites Arab journalists working for print, radio, TV, and online media outlets to submit their applications for a 3-day training workshop on cyber security, to be held in Doha from 17 till 19 March 2014. The application deadline for the workshop is 22 February 2014.
A part of the centre’s Ali Hassan Al-Jaber safety training programme, the workshop aims to train journalists on the skills necessary to maintain their cyber security.
Applicants must possess at least two years of experience in journalism. Arabic will be the language of instruction. The centre will cover travel and accommodation expenses.
How to apply
Applicants are required to send the following documents to the following email address: email@example.com, with FULL NAME – Cyber security in the email’s subject:
1. Three recent work samples, published within the last six months.
2. A 200-word motivation letter in Arabic, explaining the reasons for applying.
3. A letter of employment from your current workplace
5. A passport copy valid at least for 6 months from the date of the workshop.
The Admission Committee will review complete applications. The centre will notify all applicants of the committee’s decision no later than 26 February 2014.
